American Ruins...
In a society that is built upon the ease of disposable convenience we discover that not everything can be so easily or conveniently disposed of. Once thriving businesses that stood in once thriving communities are reflected in the shadows of the ruins left behind once there is no further use to be extracted from them.
These are some early shots in an ongoing photographic essay that is currently in progress and likely will be for some time. The initial focus is on small towns and rural areas but as time and opportunity permit the urban decay wrought by the Post-Industrial Revolution will be featured as well.
